I keep calling this an alleyway, but it's actually Saint-Dizier street in Old Montreal. It's closed off to traffic now, so I call it an alley! :P
I first came across this alley just over 4 years ago and took a really nice shot of, it fast became my favourite photo. Now a few weeks ago I got a new camera and just had to go back to the same area to take some more updated pictures.

Very nice photo! I can see why you like it. It's a really cool "alley way". B&W is very appropriate for this shot. Good choice!

great perspective, eyes leading right to the center. if yu were to get a person to pose and position, him/her-self at the end of the "alleyway" it would be a great portrait as well.
